The majority of the time motion blur is looked down upon in the photography world. Sure, it can come in handy at times when used properly, but it's more often a nuisance caused by low-light rather than a deliberate creative element. Hopefully you can find some cool uses for motion blur in texture form though.
I've taken motion blur to the extreme for these textures. They were created by simply leaving my shutter open for around a half a second accompanied by a small aperture. While the shutter was open I simply swung, twisted, and spun the camera around, creating the blurs you see here....it's all about experimenting.

If you've used L&T textures in commercial work or earned a profit from them in your designs, please consider making a donation to Lost & Taken. All donations made go directly to helping keep the site online by helping pay the server bills (which run nearly $3k a year) and allow me to buy supplies and equipment to create new textures.
