Here I am with yet another new site to tell you guys about...

This one is called Nebulae Grunge and is a micro-site dedicated to giving away 10 free, colorful grungy textures. Why did I create an entire site for just ten textures you ask?

In my spare time I'm trying to teach myself web design and css/xhtml and I thought making a small site for a set of textures would be a good way to practice. So I slaved away for two nights in a row and voila! I had so much fun making the site I might just end up making a series of them to help hone my skills. I get practice coding and you guys get free textures, everybody wins!

Check out the site and give me some feedback if you like. Oh, and download the textures while you're there ;)

What could be better than a nice, grungy piece of wood? Not much. Well, except maybe a nice slice of cherry pie with ice cream on top, mmmmmm.

Anyway, today I have a set of 20 high-res grunge wood textures for you guys to download and employ in your designs and photography. I shot most of these in an old barn that my grandpa used to own. He was a carpenter, so I guess it's kind of fitting in a way.

It's amazing how many people on the internet are willing to give away free textures. Just while perusing the galleries on flickr I've found several photographers who are willing to let me share their textures with everyone here on Lost and Taken.

One of those people is the user bcommeberenice. She hails from Merlimont, France, and aside from creating the stunning textures that you see below she is also an absolutely brilliant photographer.
